On this page, you’ll learn a bit more about me and how I transformed my life through food and nutrition.

Younger Years

As a young kid, I always remember being overweight and noticing how much bigger I was compared to my friends and classmates. Being an extremely fussy eater never helped the situation.

2015

As I grew into my teens my palate expanded, as did my waistline. This picture was taken from one of my favourite nights of 2015, but I hated (and still hate) how I look in it.

2016

During the start of my time at university, my weight stayed consistant, in fact I think I may have lot a few inches from my waist. Although I found it hard to find clothes I liked in my size. At the time, I was XXXL.

2017

In 2017, I recall going on holiday to Amsterdam with some friends. We decided to hire some bikes and head to the next town over, but I was too unfit to cycle and came up with an excuse to not go on. It was also in this year, I used to drive 30 seconds to work to avoid walking up a hill.

May 2018

Once I handed in my last assignment, I was over the moon to receive a 1st in my degree and graduate. What should have been a really happy graduation day was overshadowed by my internal feelings of self-consciousness, embarrassment and shame of my body.

August 2018

My turning point came in August '18, when someone close to me explained the dangers of carrying excess weight and said that I should really do something about it. At first, this really hurt me. But it finally opened my eyes to what I had been doing to myself and that I needed to change my lifestyle.

In 2018, I weighed just shy of 20 stone, had a 52in chest, 48in waist and wore XXXL clothing.

January 2019

So I began my journey to a healthier life, starting off with a few small tweaks here and there. By January 2019, I had lost 4 stone and dropped a handful of clothes sizes. Everyone around me started to notice the changes, and I felt amazing.

July 2019

6 months later and I lost another 1.5 stone and took up running. This picture was taken at a work event, just after I finished a sport event - something I never thought I'd be doing a year before. I really started to feel my confidence growing.

2020

Before the craziness of 2020 began, I took part in a relay race around St Mary's stadium, representing my old university. At this point, had lost around 7 stone since August 2018, and had begun resistance training at the gym.

2021

Throughout lockdown(s), I continued to exercise and found my love for exploring the outdoors. At this point, I had lost 8 stone and I had never felt better. It was also the year, I decided to begin my L4 Diploma in Nutrition.

2022

In 2022, I continued to work hard at the gym and study food and nutrition. During this time, I realised that I could help other people who were stuck in a rut with what to eat and the concept for 'Eatwell' was born.

Present Day

In early 2023, I passed my diploma with distinction and incorporated Eatwell as a business. I now work with individuals, groups, schools and other organisations to educate and encourage healthy eating.
